HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) POLICY STATEMENT

At Defensive Driving Training Academy Ltd (DDT Academy), we are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) management in all our Operations, Training Activities, Driving Assessments, and Business Engagements. Our objective is to provide a Safe, Healthy, Secure, and environmentally responsible training environment for our employees, trainees, clients, contractors, visitors, and the general public in accordance with internationally recognized best practices and applicable legal requirements.

DDT Academy recognizes that effective Health, Safety, and Environmental management is an integral part of operational excellence, risk management, and sustainable business performance. We are therefore committed to ensuring that all our activities are conducted in a manner that prevents injuries, occupational illnesses, road traffic crashes, environmental pollution, property damage, and unsafe acts or conditions.

To achieve these objectives, Defensive Driving Training Academy Ltd shall:

  • Comply with all applicable local and international Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental laws, regulations, standards, and industry best practices, including relevant provisions of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Provide and maintain safe training facilities, vehicles, equipment, and work environments for all staff, trainees, and stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through continuous training, awareness programmes, supervision, and employee participation.
  • Conduct regular hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of appropriate control measures to minimize operational and road safety risks.
  • Ensure that all training exercises, practical driving sessions, and field demonstrations are properly planned, supervised, and executed under safe operating procedures.
  • Encourage defensive driving principles, situational awareness, fatigue management, and responsible road usage among all participants and instructors.
  • Prevent environmental pollution by promoting responsible waste management, energy conservation, reduced emissions, and environmentally sustainable operational practices.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and response procedures are established, communicated, tested, and continuously improved.
  • Investigate all incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote the physical and mental wellbeing of employees and trainees through safe work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that all employees, facilitators, contractors, and stakeholders understand their individual responsibilities for maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Continuously monitor, review, and improve our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental performance through audits, inspections, management reviews, and stakeholder feedback.

Management at all levels shall demonstrate visible leadership and accountability in implementing this policy, while every employee and participant is expected to comply with established HSSE procedures and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace.

This Health, Safety & Environmental Policy Statement shall be communicated to all employees, trainees, contractors, clients, and relevant stakeholders and shall be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued suitability, effectiveness, and alignment with international standards and organizational objectives.
